SURVIVAL
I wander alone through the moon light, searching.
The quiet stillness
and the cover of dark, gives the hunter an advantage, morning will
come soon.
My stomach growls softly, I am hungry. In my den, six pups
wait, they are hungry too.
Will this hunger last another day, or will
I be successful in my quest.
I must ignore this hunger and continue to
hunt.
Suddenly, through the cool night air, I smell the faint odour
of a Deer.
The stars sparkle through the birch tops, as I crouch lowly
and follow this beautiful scent.
I pause at the crest of the hill and
there in the shadow of the spruce, something moves.
Mother Nature has
given me a wonderful gift tonight, the Doe has two Fawns. Only one
will carry on the gene.
We will sleep with full bellies this morning.

Wolves
The moon as risen It calls us out It is time to leave our
homes We walk through the trees In search for food for our
families Off in the distance I see our prey I call upon my
pack with a howl We work together to get our bellies full Then
we bring some home for our pups Once we have filled our bellies,
so full We take a walk Protecting one another as a happy
close knit family
Keeping in touch with a howl Then the moon sets Back in
our homes we go Until the rising of the moon calls us out once again
to play

Autumn Moon
Rabbit that roams in the autumn night.
Then the autumn moon has come to let the rabbit feel free.

Come The Night by Ronald R
I wait these days for night to come
It’s night that makes me
feel as one
One of the chosen for this to see
A crimson sky, a golden sea
Sky with clouds puffy and gray
Fire burns their edges away
A fireball in the sky
An ocean gold to let it die The fireball is now all done
I watch and wait for the night sun
The sun’s warmth slowly fades away
The night is cool this ends the day
The night sun, to me brings rest
This quiet time to me is best
The frogs and crickets now I hear
Wonderful sounds for a city ear
A log on the fire, some cool night air
I grab a moment; pull up a chair
Watching the flames dance in the night
A small red spark floats out of sight
The fire’s glow has gotten low
To the tent I should go
Sleep me now all through the night
Wake me with the morning light

Rain In Me
I woke this morning to a rainy day
The sun was hot but it rained anyway
The clouds were thick the sky was black
My heart it had a big old crack
I tried so hard to make her stay
My love it seems pushed her away
Gave her the moon and a star
She gave me a horrid scar
The sky today is blue blue blue
And my heart is so blue too
We see not what we need to
We kid ourselves, we all do
From these words please take this
You will not live, if you only wish
To keep what you have you must do
Be open and honest and mostly true
Show your love every day
Keep the peace every way
Remember just why you love that one
Tell them there loved and the only one
